Dr. Jina Scherer
Owner and Audiologist
A former resident of southwest Michigan, she received her undergraduate degree in Audiology and Speech Sciences from Michigan State University then went on to earn her Doctor of Audiology Degree from Central Michigan University. Jina started Audiology Associates & Hearing Aids Today in 2001 in Nashville, Tennessee.
As an expert in her field, she has spoken extensively on hearing healthcare, hearing technology, and the treatment of hearing disorders. Jina also provides audiological consultation to many doctors in the middle Tennessee area. She is licensed by the State of Tennessee and clinically certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). She is also a member of prestigious organizations such as the Academy of Dispensing Audiologists, and a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology. Jina received her Board Certification from the American Academy of Audiology. Through her memberships, she maintains the highest level of knowledge, education, and familiarization with hearing loss, emerging hearing aid technologies, and the changing needs of hearing-impaired patients. One of her greatest passions is to help others connect with their friends & family by providing the ability to listen and hear.
When away from the office, she appreciates spending time with her husband, Sean, and their beautiful daughter Ava. She also enjoys live music and dancing.
Dr. Samantha O’Leary
Dr. Samantha O’Leary joined our team at Audiology Associates & Hearing Aids Today in August of 2015. Originally from Richfield, Ohio, she received her bachelor’s degree from Ohio University and her doctoral degree from the University of Tennessee and has been a practicing Audiologist since 2011.
Dr. Samantha believes in our motto here at Audiology Associates, “Before we help people hear better, we listen” and thoroughly enjoys getting to know and work with all of our patients and their families. Her main areas of expertise are hearing aids, Lyric devices, and aural rehabilitation. She has experience with cochlear implants and is a great resource in helping patients determine candidacy. Dr. Samantha enjoys the challenge of helping patients hear better depending on their personal lifestyle and level of activity.
Dr. Samantha and her husband, Patrick have happily made Nashville there home over the past five years. They love spending time with their daughter, Alyssa and their dog, Dublin. They also enjoy watching football, music and hiking.
Sean joined the practice in 2012 as the Operations Manager and quickly made a positive impact on the office. Sean has strong passion for helping others and after several years of working in business administration and human resources, he found his way into healthcare. With a strong background in business, he works diligently behind the scenes to make sure the practice is running smoothly and that we are exceeding patient expectations daily.
When Sean is not at work, he enjoys spending time with his beautiful wife, Jina, and their adorable daughter Ava. During free time he likes to play golf, exercise and visit family and friends.
Patient Care Manager
Jennifer is the warm and welcoming friendly voice you will first hear whenever you call or visit our office. Jennifer attended college at Central Michigan University. She has lived in Nashville for 5 years and has been with the practice since 2010. She handles scheduling of appointments, verification of insurance benefits, insurance billing and claims, patient communication, fielding and answering questions on all of these areas. She is knowledgeable about hearing aid technology and has been trained in hearing aid cleaning/maintenance procedures to assist and help maintain the hearing device, along with minor troubleshooting. She anxiously looks forward to helping you start the process for better hearing.

Office welcoming committee
On most days, you will be greeted by our wonderful welcoming committee when you walk in the door. These lovable Yorkies take pleasure in welcoming new and current patients to the office. They have plenty of room on their schedules for belly rubs and attention! When not in the office, they enjoy taking naps, chasing birds/squirrels, and keeping Ava safe!
